Yes. There is no cost to you for printing, ISBN, barcode or distribution. This program covers all of it.
Where will my book actually be available?
As a paperback, in India and in most countries worldwide. As an ebook, everywhere — including Google Play Books and Amazon Kindle. Within India, your book also goes up on Amazon and Flipkart, alongside our own website.
Do I get my own author page?
Yes — a shareable author page of your own, which you'll be able to manage yourself from your author studio once that feature opens.
Can people buy directly from Open Shelf Press?
Yes. Readers can order both the paperback and the ebook straight from our website, same as any other listed title.
How long does publishing actually take?
Typically 7 to 15 days, depending on how many applications we're processing at the time.
What about the postcards, bookmarks or other extras I chose?
Whatever you selected in your application is packed and delivered together with your book.
Do you edit, design my cover, or proofread my manuscript?
No — this free program does not include editing, cover design or proofreading. We check only that your uploaded PDF is correctly sized and nothing is cut into the bleed. We add the barcode to your cover and assign your ISBN at no charge. If you want editing, design or proofreading support, those are separate paid services — check Author services on our website or contact us directly.
